The Children’s Mental Health Matters Coalition is now accepting submissions for the My Feelings Matter youth poster contest!  Finalists will be selected by the coalition and winners will be chosen by your votes on the Wisconsin Knows Children’s Mental Health Matters blog.

Each year, the Children’s Mental Health Matters Coalition, a group of parents and professionals dedicated to promoting children’s mental health, teams up with community partners throughout Wisconsin to host a youth poster contest to commemorate National Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week in May. Encouraging youth to express emotions through art supports healthy social emotional development and generates age-appropriate-round.

Contest submissions will be accepted through March 27, 2017. Prizes will be awarded to winners in each age category and winners will be invited to a celebration and showing of their work at the Overture Center Rotunda Stage on May 4th in Madison.

Age groups eligible to participate:

  • Preschool
  • K-2nd Grade
  • 3rd -5th Grade
  • 6th -8th Grade
  • High School

Winners of the My Feelings Matter youth poster contest are invited with their families to our Children’s Mental Health Awareness Day event in Madison on May 4, 2017, at noon. This event is also open to any interested community members.
